Australia’s housing challenge is increasingly a rental system crisis, not just a housing supply problem. This session will explore the reforms needed to deliver greater housing security, affordability, and stability for renters, while supporting a more sustainable and professional rental market. 

National Shelter will present a practical national reform agenda for the Albanese Government’s next term, including stronger renter protections, improved rental standards, new investment pathways for affordable housing, a successor to NRAS, and the creation of a National Renter Security Incentive Fund. Join housing leaders and advocates to discuss how Australia can build a fairer, more secure, and sustainable rental system for the future.
